Hi there, all you Microsoft folks, with a special shout-out to the PowerPoint users in the crowd. Microsoft has released their May 2009 Security Bulletin, and things must be slow in Redmond. MS09-017 is the only patch released this month, but you need to slap this puppy on your clients ASAP, since exploits have been in the wild for more than a month.
The patch covers about a dozen CVEs, which is hefty, but if you're a Mac version user or run Microsoft Works, this patch doesn't apply, so you're still running around with your butt exposed to several of the underlying vulnerabilities. Sweet!
Enjoy your patching while Microsoft gets back to figuring out how to stop their market share erosion with 3000 less employees than they had six months ago.
