Am I the only one who remembers that back when Bush-Cheney were campaigning during the 2004 election cycle, not only were protesters kept away from the candidates by police, but several hundred were arrested for exercising the very same freedoms being played out in Iran?Someone needs to explain to me how conservatives reconcile the fact that they want Iranian citizens to have freedoms that conservative candidates specifically disallowed in this country.
Freedom to protest your government without retribution is either a right of democracy, or it isn't.
