Dave Barry, weighing in from Beijing, details what it's like to take a cab ride. Aside from confirming that there sure are a lot of people in China, and that there seems to be a job for every single one of them, Dave confirms that no matter the obstacles, the masses find a way to get him where he needs to be. This is impressive, given the fact that when I'm in midtown Manhattan, I often have trouble just finding an empty cab, let alone experience a collaborative effort to fetch me to my destination.
