Conservatives Trampled by History

Multisyllabic windbag William F. Buckley, who assumed room temperature on Feb. 27, 2008, was responsible for the following quote:

"A Conservative is a fellow who is standing athwart history yelling "Stop!""

The thing is, history doesn't stop. Yell all you want.

Medicare happened. Civil rights happened. Voting rights, workplace safety, women's rights, child labor laws, minimum wage - they all became reality while conservatives screamed themselves hoarse.

Gay marriage will happen, too. And conservatives will once again be on the wrong side of history.
