I mean, sure, they are still using dial-up modems to report facility on-site monitoring data to the government, but what could possibly go wrong?
Heck, I used the same technology to view porn on CompuServe in 1992. Sure, it took a long time to see naked women at 2400 baud, and the connection was frequently reset due to CRC errors, but anticipation just heightens the excitement.
So what if a home user like me has upgraded my technology twelve-fold since then while the nuclear power industry - a conglomerate that could kill millions in the event of a systems failure - remains technically Jurassic. They know what they are doing.
Right?
