I'm looking forward to the debate tonight, already weary of the pre-event spin and lowering of expectations.
I'm especially irked at the McCain campaign claiming that having Gwen Ifill moderate is unfair, since she's writing a book that might end up flattering Obama. Never mind that this has been known for weeks - McCain said he didn't know, and if he did, he might have made a different choice. This after he said that he thought Ifill was a professional who would do a perfectly good, objective job.
Yeah, it's not fair that you don't get to choose your perfect moderator, John. Do you want to be able to choose your foreign leaders, too?
If you can't stand up to Gwen Ifill, how will you stand up to terrorists?
