More Racism at Palin Rally in PA

I grew up in central PA, and my first corporate management job was with a firm that was based in Johnstown, where this video was shot. I'm familiar with the people in this area, and I can tell you that this underlying sentiment of racism is alive and well. All it needs is an outlet that allows it to be articulated in a forum that gives it the appearance of legitimacy.

McCain and Palin have yet to come out and forcefully explain to their supporters that this type of viewpoint is simply unacceptable and has no place in American politics. It's been rejected by the vast majority of voters, and has become the rallying cry not of people of ideas, but of a campaign of attack and hate.

McCain and Palin's failure has demonstrated to all of us that as independent and moderate voters flee the Republican party, all that's left is their wingnut base, on display in Johnstown, PA.
