Do Mr. & Mrs. Sixpack Owe Back Taxes

One of the good things about having candidates release their tax returns before the election is that we all get a voyeuristic look at their finances. I'm not sure that it's ever uncovered much, but I still like to watch.

That said, some tax professionals have been poring over the Palin's returns, and Houston, we have a problem.

First off, they had their taxes done at H&R Block. Really.

The real issue, though, is that according to these pros, there are serious errors in the Palin's tax returns, and it's conceivable that they owe tens of thousands of dollars in back taxes and penalties. The major gaffe appears to be travel reimbursement for Todd Palin and the kids that didn't get reported as income, when it probably should have been. The dirty details are posted here.
