Frank Rich, in his NY Times column, points out the uncomfortable truth that's really the crux of the upcoming presidential election, now that Sarah Palin has effectively taken over as the primary message of the ticket. It's apparent that the 2008 version of John McCain is too weak to lead this country.
Rich provides a number of examples of Palin's views, and asks readers to consider if they are truly comfortable with what execution of these viewpoints might mean for America should they come to fruition.
McCain has shown that he's easily swayed by anyone who can sell him a plan to victory, whether it's in Iraq or Michigan, and Rich posits that this makes McCain the weaker George W. Bush to Palin's much stronger Dick Cheney. And we've all seen where that took us.
