This makes no sense at all.
Let's say that I have a nice, shiny iPod, and it's chock full of my tunes. Maybe 2000 songs or so. If we use a little iTunes store math, at 99 cents a song, I'd be lugging around $2000 worth of music, plus the value of the player.
That's a pretty good chunk of change to have with me. Securing my iPod might be a concern. I wouldn't want to have someone rip off the music that I ripped myself. What to do, what to do...
Master Lock has an idea - the iCage! A nice, clunky device to lock up your iPod in one place. Great idea...except the whole value of the iPod is to make your music portable. It doesn't get much less portable than chaining your player to a post.
I can't remember the last time someone had their house burglarized by thieves looking to score a Nano, but maybe it happens. I would think that most thefts occur when you're out in public flashing your player, and someone sees you and sticks you up. The iCage won't help you out then.
So, if you live in a high crime area and don't take your iPod with you when you leave the house, perhaps the iCage is a righteous product for you. Otherwise, hide it in the front of your pants. Only the most hardened criminal would go there.
