Photographs Steal Smiles

I'm a firm believer that the universe only gives us so many smiles to dole out, and I don't want to waste any of mine fake-grinning for pictures - much to the disdain of the crazy picture lady who is the love of my life.

She's forever lamenting the fact that I dislike smiling for photos. Actually, she would tell you that it's more that when I know she's pointing the camera my way, I deliberately suck the emotion out of my face.

There is now a collective body of evidence that I'm not unique in my aversion. Happiest People Ever is a site chock-full of dour photographic expressions and Kodak intolerance.
